Hoss Abar

Hoss Abar, DDS, MSD, is a highly skilled orthodontist with a passion for helping those in his care make the most out of their smiles. With a firm belief that a great and healthy smile improves lives, Dr. Abar is honored to play a role in helping so many men, women, and children reach their orthodontic goals.

In his leadership role at Danville Orthodontics, Dr. Abar creates a customized treatment plan for each patient. The entire orthodontic process is explained before treatment begins, ensuring that every patient understands what to expect during treatment and how their smile will look once treatment is complete.

Many orthodontic patients are children or teens, but Dr. Abar also finds a great deal of professional fulfillment in working with adults to enhance their smiles. Adult orthodontics offers the chance to truly transform lives, and to help patients move beyond long-standing alignment issues.

Education has always been important to Dr. Abar. He began his studies in California at the University of the Pacific where he remained to complete his orthodontic training. With nearly two decades in practice, he’s seen the field of orthodontics undergo impressive changes, and has remained at the forefront of advancements in dental technology and orthodontic care.   

Dr. Abar is proud of his professional affiliations and enjoys the opportunity to further refine his skills and knowledge through links with other orthodontic professionals in the region and across the nation. He holds membership in the American Dental Association, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Abar is also an active member of the Partnership Study Club, a group that works on complex interdisciplinary cases involving restorative orthodontics.

When not at work, you’ll find Dr. Abar spending time with his wife and two sons. He also enjoys card games, basketball, and outdoor pursuits, including camping and snowboarding.
